Account Manager, Kansas City

Responsible for sales and territory management activities for all Sekisui Diagnostics’ distributed products within a defined geographic territory and health care market which may include physician’s office (POL), retail clinics chains, urgent care, community health centers (CHCs), large multi-specialist clinics, This position will grow existing account, develop new accounts and maximize and develop distribution relationships to accomplish corporate sales objectives and expand the visibility of our product portfolio to a larger audience. Candidate must live in the greater Kansas City area.


May perform some or all of the following: 

Responsible for all sale revenue budgets/forecasts for the assigned territory
Instrument opportunity funnel management  
Works/Calls on Sekisui Distribution Partners Sales Reps and Managers
Grows existing accounts and develops new accounts in order to meet sales forecasts and budgets
Manages the assigned territory within expense budget
Makes joint (distribution sales reps) and independent sales calls to end user customers that result in the achievement of sales and market share growth targets
Identifies, Trains, and Motivates distributor reps via work days and local, regional and national meetings
Implements and communicates marketing programs in manners consistent with achievement of sales goals
Proactively provides sales and marketing support and training of products to distributor/end user personnel
Provides routine Business Reviews with key distribution channels
Creates and delivers effective sales presentations
Updates end-user and distributor contact information into CRM on a routine basis & per management guidance
Participates in Sekisui Diagnostic sponsored trade shows, sales meetings and local meetings as required and necessary
Accountable for all sales practices to be in compliance with all relevant laws regulating the sales of IVD products
Understands and adhere to all required QSR, ISO, Safety and Legal compliance laws such as antitrust, deceptive marketing practices, and price fixing
Interface with Marketing and Commercial Services organizations as appropriate
Ability to travel up to 50%

Education /Experience:                                                                              

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as required
Minimum of 3 years sales experience
Minimum of 2 years selling Medical Device products through US distribution or as a medical distributor is required, and will have demonstrated an ability to effectively build and manage relationships within those key accounts
Ability to work remotely and must live in the greater Kansas City area


Preferred Qualifications:

Five years sales experience of IVD products through US distribution
Experience with GPO, IDN, and/or ACO sales
Capital instrumentation sales in a distribution environment  
Skills / Pre-requisites:

Knowledge of the Healthcare marketplace
Demonstrates excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Must be organized with strong analytical skills, territory and time management skills
Proficient in MS Office
Open to change and diversity
