Process Technician III

We currently have a vacancy for a shift based Process Technician within our General Products Manufacturing Facility. The successful applicant will be required to be involved in many aspects of the manufacture of our products, including: 

Short to long term production planning and raw material preparation and control,
Batch fermentations, downstream processing, chromatography separations and freeze drying cycles,
In-process analysis, including biomass determinations, enzyme activities and protein concentrations,
Operation of a wide range of assets across all areas, as well as asset control, maintenance support and investment,
Supporting technical and developmental work on both our current and new product processes,
Waste treatment and disposal,
Compliance with Quality Assurance (e.g. deviations, CAPAs, document control) and HS&E (e.g. risk assessments, incident reporting and investigation) systems,
Contributing to continuous improvement across all the above using Kaizen/LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies,
Supporting other departments and teams across the business where possible. 

We are seeking an ambitious, highly motivated and proactive individual, keen to challenge and develop themselves and those around them. A desire to achieve high quality standards, passion for continuous improvement, excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential requirements. 

Previous experience of cGMP/ISO9001 and its requirements is highly desirable. In particular, we would welcome applications from candidates with the following backgrounds:

Individuals with previous fermentation, downstream, chromatography or freeze drying manufacturing experience (experience within the Pharmaceutical or Bio-pharmaceutical Industries would be particularly attractive to us),
Individuals who have recently graduated with a Life Sciences or related degree, and who are looking for their first  position in industry,
Individuals with previous working experience in a scientific environment e.g. laboratories or research and development. 

This position carries the usual Sekisui benefits and manufacturing training and competency assessment will be carried out in situ.
